How to Use the Live Data Search
-
Once logged into Data Refinery Workbench, click the Live Data tab at the top of the page.
-
The Live Data Search will appear on the web page. To search for data, begin by clicking the Select Entity Type dropdown to select from the list of available Entity Types.
-
A user can click the Search button after selecting an Entity Type, if desired. However, a user can also refine their search by selecting up to five Data Attributes.
To add a Data Attribute filter, a user must select an option from the Select Attribute dropdown, and then type a value in the adjacent search bar.
Note. The Data Attribute search bar is case insensitive, and all results will contain an attribute value that begins with the given filter value.
When refining a search using more than one Data Attribute filter, it is important to note that all attribute values entered must match the data for the search to yield successful results. If one attribute value has been entered incorrectly, no results will be returned.
-
After selecting Data Attributes, click the Search button to yield the results.
Note. If a user intends to search across multiple sources of data, this can only be completed in Data Refinery Designer.
Sharing Results
Users can share their Live Data search results by sharing links. As long as the user is logged into Data Refinery Workbench, they can copy and paste the shared Workbench link into their web browser to see the same results as the original user.
